This charges my iphone4. I have had it for a few weeks and I am liking it. I was looking for an affordable version for awhile now. This is the one. I can read the clock fine, so not sure I agree with other reviewers on that issue. It charges and plays music just fine in my bedroom. I love a multi-purpose item. I think the alarm/option setting is a bit complicated, but I got used to it after awhile. I like that the alarm gradually gets louder, that sure wakes me up.
