This car charger is definitely on the cheap side. It feels very "plasticy" and is extremely light and unattractive..

BUT...

It does work, at least it has worked so far for the last few weeks as I use it daily on my commute to work and back.

I bought another, more expensive charger for my husband (he has an iPhone 4S) and it just seems more reliable, especially when plugging it in and pulling it out.

Other reviewers have had some very bad experiences with this product so if you want to roll the dice and try your luck, give this charger a go. For a few bucks, even if it breaks, it's not the end of the world...

My recommendation is to pay a little more and get a better quality Apple iPhone charger.
